The match finished 1-1 after 90 minutes, with Lautaro Martinez giving Argentina the lead before Luis Diaz equalised for Colombia.
The match went to a penalty shootout, and Martinez saved three penalties to send Argentina through.
Argentina will now face Brazil in the final on Saturday, while Colombia will play Peru in the third-place match.
